  Had S&K construction put a metal roof on our house last year and quite pleased with the results. I waited a year to see how it wintered and it withstood all of the snow we got with no leaks or problems. It took two days because we discovered … More five layers of shingles on the north side. The crew was great and they even came back in a rain storm to finish the clean up. This year my son's house lost some shingles in a storm so we decided to reroof that one also. The shingles were old and brittle. Total tear off and new roof in one day. Again, clean up was great with no debris left behind. Also replaced all gutters and added gutter guards. Very happy with both jobs and prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend! Shout out to Harry, Glenn and their crews. Great job guys!

  I still regret in choosing this company and cannot recommend them but I have modified my review because I do think there are some people at this company who are operating in good faith. See details below.
  Jessie promised a roof … More repair, tear off, and installation of solar roof tiles. There was a delay of over 8 weeks beyond the promised timeline for final design and measurements of the repaired roof, which would have had to be imported, to even get a quote on the exact cost of the tiles. I was not given a design to inspect prior to the roof repair.
  Prior to the roof repair they erroneously sent out their crew to complete the tear off which was to be done after the repair. I wasn't supposed to be home at the time but thankfully I was and the disaster was averted.
  And even after the roof repair was done it was many more days before measurements were provided making it difficult if not impossible to get the tiles imported and installed in time to have them done before the end of the year to get the tax credit, and requiring a possible change in plans to get solar installed in time.
  Jessie also assured me in writing that the roof repair would provide additional headroom and storage space. Instead they cut costs and just installed the roof repair over top of the existing roof. In addition, it remains to be seen once there is a more substantial rain, but the portions of the roof they installed around the chimney seem to be the source of new water infiltration (update: thankfully, thus far after some rain it does not appear that there is any further water infiltration. And generally, I have no issues with the quality of the framing or tear off thus far, other than that there was no opportunity to review the design in advance, and more storage space was promised but not delivered. It seems like there was not sufficient communication with Jeff who did the framing work and seemed to be very capable at that. But this was not the lowest bid I received and the main issue is that I ONLY went with them because of what was promised and they did not deliver on those promises. I could have paid much less for the work that was done)
  To make matters worse, Jessie has aggressively pursued balance payment before the contracted work was done. When pressed about her verbal assurance that I would hold back a proportionate but undefined about until the tiles were installed, she lowballed the labor costs associated with the installation of the tiles to $500. Then when I pushed back she made it $1000. Then sent an email stating falsely that this figure was agreed. And yet another "balance past due" email.
  Thankfully Zach has been pretty helpful and tried to work with me to get the job finished so that I can pay the balance. He reached out and got a call setup with the supplier. He has done a lot to clean up Jessie's mess. But the matter is still not resolved.
  No one deserves to be treated like this. It's really appalling. I do trust that God sees everything that's going on and everything will get sorted out.
  However, I also have a responsibility to try to warn people. I cannot recommend this company. If an acceptable resolution is reached and the work is complete and satisfactory, they manage their personnel issues and maybe reassign, educate or terminate employees who give their company a bad name, I am happy to edit my review to reflect that.

  DO NOT HIRE S & K ROOFING — READ THIS BEFORE YOU REGRET IT.
  I hired S & K because they were a “trusted name.”
  I was LIED to, OVERCHARGED, IGNORED, and BLOCKED.
  Here’s what happened:
  • Salesperson JESSE promised me a TPO membrane … More roof — I got cheap peel-and-stick roofing instead.
  • I was upcharged for plywood that I later found buried under trash they left behind.
  • They claimed they tarped my brand-new composite deck — instead, it now has deep scratches and TAR pressed into it.
  • I was harassed for payment the same day the job was finished, even though the work was a disaster.
  • I’ve had nails in my tires and nails jammed between my new deck boards ever since.
  • I brought in professional roofers afterward — the roof is so badly done, it all needs to be torn off and redone.
  When I called to get answers, HARRY (the general manager) hung up on me and BLOCKED my number.
  This company is completely unprofessional and dishonest.
  I had cheaper bids, but trusted S & K because of their reputation.
  That trust was a huge mistake.
  SAVE YOURSELF the stress, damage, and expense. Go with literally ANY other company.

  I wanted to share a review about my experience with our estimator Eric that meet with me in regards to a needed roofing replacement. He was thorough, professional and a pleasure to work with. He did a thorough inspection, presented options … More and was courteous, never pushy. Available product and approach was top notch and although we did not choose S&K for this particular need, it was a very tough and close call as their pricing was really good for the project and their transparency and amount of reviews is to be respected.
  I would recommend giving Eric and the team at S&K Construction and remodeling a chance at your project.

  Roofing crews completed tear offs and reroofing the house and detached garage in 2-1/2 days. 72 squares of shingles. Harry, Glenn and Marlo managed the roof crews nicely and were very receptive to questions etc. kudos to all of the crew … More and their work ethic.
